I've been drooling over the recipes in this cookbook for a while. So I decided to try the Spicy-Sweet Deviled Eggs for Easter. They were amazing!
I also ventured to make Coleslaw Tempered with Coconut for Easter. The funny story with that recipe is that I had the pan too hot and I completely burnt the spices. The kitchen filled with smoke, and set off the alarm. So watch the heat! Making it the second time I got it right and it tasted wonderful.
I was really interested in this cookbook because I'm trying to cook healthier. Flexitarian is what it sounds like: a mostly vegetarian diet that is flexible enough to allow occasional lean meat proteins. It appealed to me because it allows me to add more vegetables to my diet while still allowing for chicken and fish in the main dishes. I also enjoy this cookbook because it's adding new flavors into my cooking repertoire. There are only so many nights you can make Italian or Mexican for dinner.
Everything I've made from the cookbook has been exceptional. The only problem I'm having right now is deciding which recipe to try next!
