I have a copy of this book, but am ordering more as gifts. I am new to soy cooking, and this book is great, the illustrations are beautiful, and the recipes easy to follow.

Simply SoyRecipes Celebrating Nature's Perfect BeanLemon Soy Pudding Cake with Blackberry Sauce. Spiced Bran Muffins. Edamame Dip with Pita Crisps. Grilled Chicken with Three Bean Salad and Spicy Cherry Sauce. All made with the myriad soyfoods now readily available, and each just one lip-smacking example of the 88 scrumptious recipes found in Simply Soy, the first cookbook published by The Soyfoods Council. Its 150 pages cover every part of the menu--Appetizers, Side Dishes & Salads, Breads, Soups & Stews, Desserts and Entrees that are either Vegetarian or combinations of Soyfoods with Meat, Poultry and Seafood—and include 40-plus color photographs. There's also a chapter of kid-friendly recipes. The very first chapter, called The Magical Bean, introduces you to the soybean's wonderful qualities—health, culinary and agricultural—and describes in careful detail 14 soyfoods now in the marketplace, from tofu and tempeh to soy milk and soy yogurt, soy flour, soy nuts and other soy snacks, soy pasta and even dried soy flakes that make great crunchy toppings. These recipes come from The Soyfoods Council's own professional recipe developer, professional chefs (Chris Koetke and Terry Conlan, for example), cookbook authors (Nina Simonds, Mollie Katzen and Jim Fobel, to name a few), and 14 state soybean associations. Each recipe includes a bit of background or description of the dish, and its nutritional analysis for the major nutrients: Calories, Protein, Fat, Carbohydrates, Fiber, Cholesterol, Iron, Sodium and Calcium.
