Eating in St. Helena, A Recipe Memoir by Phoebe Ellsworth is a wonderful cookbook, a beautifully-illustrated art book and a memory of earlier, quieter times in the Napa Valley. While it focuses on a particular location, the recipes are a trip back into our histories when many of us were raising children, partaking in church potlucks and fund raisers for our children's schools. Turn to Page 53! Chicken Tortilla Casserole is still a family favorite for the day after Thanksgiving when our family substitutes turkey for chicken. Just a lovely read with beautiful illustrations.
